Howard Morris
Howard Morris was born on September 4, 1919 in New York City, NY. It's hard to believe that a New Yorker is loved by fans of "The Andy Griffith Show" as that man from the hills, Ernest T. Bass. Howard only appeared as Ernest T. in 5 episodes of TAGS but still has request to play his gas can, sign rocks (which he hates doing) and throw bricks. In the book Inside Mayberry, Howard Morris had this to say about some of things he's heard: "Little kids come up to me and they say, 'Mr. Bass.....' And I'll say, 'Hello, how are you?' They'll say, 'I'm fine.....When I grow up I want to be just like you.' That's some comment. I want to say, 'Are you kidding? He's a nut!' "
The listing below is not a complete listing of Mr. Morris' career as I know that he has been the voice of Wade the Duck on the "Garfield and Friends" cartoon and he has also performed the voice of the "Hamburgerler" on the McDonald's commercials. If you have more information on Mr. Morris' credits, feel free to send them to me and I'll update the listing.
